TUSCAN YACHTING TECHNOLOGICAL DISTRICT

Yachting represents one of the driving forces for Tuscan economy, both in terms of number of companies involvedand in terms of employment. Tuscany can boast anundisputed leadership in the international arena, thanks toa dynamic and highly relevant economic sector whichincludes, in addition to the nautical production of largeshipyards, also small artisan producers coexisting withleading international companies.

Thanks to its history and its geographical position, Tuscanyhas always played a fundamental role throughout theMediterranean, but the challenge and the objective of theDistrict is to further enhance the yachting sector, and theactivities of smaller marinas or commercial ports in terms offishing and logistics.

With 206 companies, 11 service centers, 20 researchorganizations and 39 industrial research and technologytransfer infrastructures, over time, the District, has developed- through its manager Rete Penta – innovation and researchprojects, training to the industry professionals, yachtingevents and network and relations among European andMediterranean districts.
